Team ABBA will return to the British GT paddock with a Mercedes-AMG GT3 that will be driven by team owner Richard Neary and co-driver Adam Christodoulou, although he will miss the Donington Park round in June due to his N24 commitments.
Team ABBA’s car will be the second Mercedes-AMG GT3 on the 2019 grid following confirmation that RAM Racing‘s announcement last month.
Neary began racing in British GT back in 2016 at the wheel of a Rollcentre Racing BMW Z4 GT3 before he switched to AMG machinery ahead of a full season with the German marque in 2017.
“I can’t wait to throw myself back into British GT full-time next season,” said Neary.
“The GT3 grid is already looking very strong, but we demonstrated good pace during this year’s selected outings, and certainly enough to suggest we’ll be in the mix. Adam’s clash isn’t ideal, but we’re already close to finalising his replacement for Donington in June.
“It was strange watching the championship from afar last season, but I always knew that with the right commitment I’d be happy to return. I believe we now have that in place for 2019.”
