2024 Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe: Revving Up with Live Streaming and New Partnerships

The Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe (PSCSE) is gearing up for an exhilarating second season in 2024, promising to be the ideal prelude to the summer's racing festivities. This year's lineup not only boasts a splendid calendar and open registrations but also welcomes onGRID as a new collaborator. Adding to the excitement, ETS joins the fray as a partner for this upcoming season, ensuring a heightened racing experience.

The countdown has begun for the PSCSE's second season, set to commence in under three months. The season unfolds over four events, starting on January 27 and 28, 2024, at Portimão, followed by thrilling races at Estoril (February 2 and 3), Valencia (February 23 and 24), and culminating in Barcelona (March 1 and 2). These events will showcase diverse and scenic circuits across the Iberian Peninsula, offering an unrivalled racing spectacle.

A significant development for this season is the introduction of live streaming for all four events. Lars Plato, the spokesperson for the competition, expressed his enthusiasm about this new feature, stating, "Now, everyone can join in the thrill of the races, not just those present at the venues. This is fantastic news for sponsors, families, friends, and all racing aficionados in our region, ensuring they don’t miss a moment of the action." The live streaming will cater to a broad European audience, enhancing the competition's reach and impact. "Though we can't share Southern Europe's sunny weather with everyone, we can certainly share the adrenaline and spectacle of our races!" added Plato.

Continuing the format from its inaugural season, the competition is divided into four categories within two distinct divisions. The Sport division, featuring PRO and PRO-AM drivers in the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (type 992), is now open to Gold drivers as well. According to Plato, "The Sport division offers a perfect training ground for Porsche Carrera Cup participation, with Pros racing without ABS and PRO-AM riders, aged thirty and above, also taking on the challenge without ABS. The stationary start adds to the excitement and competitiveness of this division."

The Club division will see AM drivers in the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (type 992) and a GT4 class for the Porsche Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport and the Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport. Enhancing the racing experience, an optional 'pre-event test day' has been introduced, offering teams and drivers additional track time for practice.
