GETSPEED FINISH NLS IN FINE STYLE AT NÜRBURGRING

Fabian Schiller and Lucas Auer finished second in the Mercedes-AMG GT3 at the finale of the Nürburgring Endurance Series.

The team from the Gewerbepark am Nürburgring used the last race in the Green Hell to further develop the setup of the Mercedes-AMG GT3 with a view to the coming year. Schiller and Auer clocked up many laps on the 24.358-kilometre combination of sprint circuit and Nordschleife during the test on Friday and the four-hour race on Saturday, collecting valuable data.

In qualifying, Schiller secured fourth place in the strong field of GT3 cars with a time of 7:56.099 minutes. He then took second place at the start of the race and fought for the lead for long stretches. "It was a tough race," said Schiller. "Especially in my first stint, I had a lot of exciting battles." "The car was perfect. We have increased the performance compared to the 24-hour race in May. For 'Luggi', it was his first Nürburgring race in 2023 and only his second in the GT3 overall - so second place is a fantastic result." Auer also beamed after the race: "Fabian did a great job. My goal was to complete laps on the Nordschleife, and I am thrilled to be on the podium now."

Team boss Adam Osieka concluded positively: "It was important for us to compete in one more race at the Nürburgring. This way, we could convert the insights we gained throughout the season with the Mercedes-AMG GT3 in our many race entries to the Nordschleife. For Lucas, who has competed with us in the GTWC this year, it was important to get used to this unique race track in direct competition with strong opponents."

On the 22nd of October, GetSpeed will compete in the finale of the International GT Open in Barcelona. The Nürburgring season starts again at the end of March next year.
